Oahu - Hawaii

Oahu, an island is 597 square miles size of, is the second oldest island.It has two major mountain ranges that were once two shield volcanoes which have long since become extinct.The Waianae range is the oldest part of Oahu at about four million years old. Over a hundred ridges extend from the spines of each range.The most famous of these former craters include Diamond Head and Punchbowl craters, both popular visitor attractions.Koko Head crater is the youngest part of Oahu at about 32,000 years old.The Waianae mountain range lies on the west side of the island, separating Central Oahu from the Leeward coast. For the most part,it remains considerably warmer and drier.Climate is 23-31 degrees C beetween all year.

Windward oahu - Hawaii

The location is stunningly beautiful with the Kualoa Mountains in the background. This area was considered sacred by the ancient Hawaiians as whalebones used to wash up on the beach. The bones were then made into valuable tools and jewelry.

Sharks Cove in Oahu - Hawaii

Like the name show you, some white tipped reef sharks call this cove home. Sharks are generally not aggressive so DO NOT approach or molest them. Turtles are frequently seen in this cove. This is a wonderful beach for swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving during the months of March through October when the seas are calm. There are no lifeguards.

Sunset Beach Park in Oahu - Hawaii

The area is great for swimming and snorkeling. There is also wonderful tide pools great for collecting shells and observing the wonders of nature. During the Winter months this beach is one of the best for surfing with waves often between fifteen and twenty feet high making it perfect for yearly international surfing competitions.

This is the home of the largest, most dangerous and spectacular surf in the world. Do not enter when the swells are large as the water is fast and deadly. There is a strong riptide current running out at the center of the bay. Obey all postings and warnings.
